Meet Karin Reimondos

Hi, I’m Karin — a storyteller with a camera, a pen, and a whole lot of heart.

I bought my first camera in July 1998 and haven’t gone a day without making a picture since. Photography isn’t just what I do — it’s how I see the world. I believe every image has a heartbeat, a memory frozen in time, a whisper from the present to the future.

I'm also an emerging international writer — weaving poetry, fiction, and nonfiction into stories that stir the soul. My poems have been picked up by Poet’s Choice, and my photography is finding its way into spaces like Fusion Art, Light Space & Time, Beyond Words Magazine, and L’Esprit Literary Review. My debut poetry chapbook “Baby Steps Towards Acceptance” launched in June 2025 (available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble), and I’ve got a few more books in the works.

To me, photography and writing are twin flames — each image, each word, tells a story that can spark emotion, awaken memory, or bring comfort. I shoot with intention, whether I’m pressing the shutter or pausing to feel the moment before I do.

Outside the creative lens, I’m a horse breeder, Reiki practitioner, and nature-dweller. I live on a farm in Sweden with my beloved Welsh Springer Spaniels — Ben, Billy, and Mickey — and a herd of soulful Welsh Mountain ponies I’ve bred since 2016. Horses have been part of my life since childhood, grounding me just as much as my spiritual healing practice, which began in 2002.

I’ve studied social change, trained in yoga and holistic healing, and worked seven magical seasons on Skyros Island, Greece — everything from bar manager to official photographer, capturing daily life and hosting weekly slideshows. I even spent time in Bali photographing for the Bali Hati Project in 2001.

I believe in beauty, truth, accessibility, and soul-led storytelling. My favorite colors? Think original pride flag, forest greens, ocean blues. My favorite aesthetic? Calm, clear, and kind — just like life should be. My goal is simple: to help people feel something. If my images or words bring you joy, spark a memory, or make you pause — then I’ve done my job.

Let’s create something that matters.
